Punching - Embroidery programming
The embroidery programme is decisive for the embroidery quality. The embroidery programme controls the embroidery machine. The embroidery motif is designed in such a way that the embroidery result corresponds to the selected template. The individual properties of the textile material to be embroidered must be taken into account. The aim is to achieve the lowest possible embroidery density (few stitches) so that the embroidery blends harmoniously with the base material. Motif areas are divided into colour areas so that as few thread cuts as possible are produced, so that the embroidery machine runs smoothly and unnecessary tie-off stitches do not impair the embroidery quality. Embroideries can only be reduced in size to a limited extent. This textile finishing technique is therefore not comparable with printing. The more complex a motif - the more colours and details - the greater the effort required for embroidery programming. Each motif must be test embroidered several times to ensure that every stitch is correct and that the grain and distortion of the base material harmonise with the embroidery.
